Whitehall Mission Harvest

Last Sunday's Harvest Service again featured the congregation's donations for London's Whitechapel Mission. The Mission is "called to serve the men and women caught in the cycles of poverty, hopelessness and dependencies of many kinds, and to see their lives transformed to hope, joy and lasting productivity."

Ruth Watkins, who organised this annual event, said, "What was on display was a fraction of what was donated, The rest was behind the communion table and we received £30 in cash."

When Tony Miller, the Mission's Director arrived to collect the donations on his trailer, Ruth asked him how he was., to which he replied, "Really good now I have seen this lot!"
