Following the Homeless Sunday emergency appeal for extra food, toiletries and clothing for London's Whitechapel Mission, (click here for details) Ruth and Peter Watkins took their car there, crammed to the roof with donations. As well as tinned food, they also took jam, though of the traffic variety! Faced with no available parking, they caused a mini tailback of vehicles until three Whitechapel volunteers managed to empty the car in ultra quick time and allow traffic to flow again. The Mission were very appreciative of the goods we donated which with other gifts from other churches will help them to keep feeding and clothing the ever increasing number of the capital's homeless. Thanks again for all the generous donations.
