Rev. Fred Ireland

Our former minister Rev. Fred Ireland who retires this summer.

Rev. Fred Ireland will be preaching his last service before he retires, on Sunday 28th July, 10am, at Long Hanborough Methodist Church, Witney, OX29 8JX.

Although he doesn't want any fuss, his daughter Rachel knows he would be really pleased to see some old friends from AMC.

Fred was our Superintendent Minister here in the late 1990s until moving to the (then brand new) Fairford Leys Church. During his time here, he was instrumental in introducing a more relaxed style of worship, House Groups, the Music Group, and the SOS Group, all still evident a quarter of a century later! Before, during and after his time with us, Fred was very committed to his part-time prison chaplaincy work.

We thank Fred for all his ministry both here and in the circuit and wish him and his wife Susan, a very happy and fulfilling retirement.
