This morning 7th June, at our 10.30am service we shall be celebrating MHA Sunday (a week early), and we shall show a short video ‘The Second Cup – Loneliness Appeal’.

“Days drift into weeks, and weeks into months. Conversations fade. Routines shrink. Without someone to talk to, loneliness can quietly take hold, affecting physical health, mental wellbeing, and a person's sense of purpose. No one should feel forgotten.”

At MHA, we're working to end loneliness for older people across the UK. Through our befriending services, we connect isolated older people with someone who listens and visits regularly. A friendly face or voice on the phone. A relationship that reminds someone they matter.

There will be a retiring collection for their befriending services and their other work at the end of the service, and there is an MHA envelope in the weekly notice sheet. Please complete the Gift Aid declaration if you pay tax, so that MHA can reclaim an extra 20% of your donation at no extra cost to you. You can return your envelope over the next couple of weeks if you prefer.
