Food Hub Visitor

A couple of weeks ago, before the General Election was called, the Monday Food Hub had a surprise visitor. It was the prospective Labour MP for Aylesbury Laura Kyrke-Smith and a member of the committee of the local Labour Party.

They asked to come and see how we worked, and if they could meet our guests, who were 'more than delighted' to tell them what they thought of politics!

I just received this message from Laura: "Thanks so much for having us along! Really interesting to speak to people there, and congrats for the brilliant work you're all doing".

It was an interesting and enjoyable night. The highlight had to be when she called out "Is there anyone who doesn't want to be in any photographs taken tonight?" and one of our service users shouted back: "I don't mind, but can I keep my clothes on this time?". Classic! Karen
