Fathers' Day Prayer

Today, Sunday, 16th June, is Father's Day. Revd Dr Jonathan Hustler, the Secretary of the Conference, has shared this prayer.

On this day of thanksgiving for many and of differing emotions for some, we pray:
For those who exercise the role of a father – grant them wisdom, patience and strength;
For those who long to be a father but have never had the privilege – grant them love and fulfilment;
For those who have failed in their responsibilities as a father – grant them pardon and peace;
For those who reflect with joy on their experience of a father's care offered or received – grant them thankful hearts.
