Sunday and weekday activities organised by the church are for the youngest to the oldest. Going to London shows with good seats at discounted prices by private coach without the hassle of public transport has had great appeal. So whilst started as a fundraising project in 2007 for our £1million community centre project, it was decided to continue.The group is by no means confined to only church members. We meet on alternate Tuesdays from 2-4pm.We design and create banners not only for our own church but for other churches and groups. For instance we have produced several banners for the ecumenical Women's World Day of Prayer. Biblical teaching that relates to everyday lives' was one of the requests that came out of the 2015 Healthy Churches questionnaire and follow-up sessions. So Helen Kirk is leading a monthly Bible Study on a Wednesday afternoon/ Thursday evening in the coffee bar at the front of the church. Leading the singing in Sunday worship, the choir rehearses most Fridays from 7.30pm. It normally begins the service with an introit. For some special evening services, such as the annual Songs of Praise, Passiontide/Easter or Christmas, it is augmented by members of other choirs from within the Circuit and of other denominations. Formed in 2012, we now meet on the fourth Saturday in alternate months from 2pm to 4pm in the church coffee bar which is through the glass doors at the front of the church in Buckingham Street. Link to Hope is a Christian Charity established since 1991 and dedicated to rebuilding lives and communities in Eastern Europe by supporting Education and Social Care projects in Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and Bulgaria. SOS is an informal fellowship group that meets around once a month, usually in someone's home.
