The trekker tracks his trip!

After his church steward duties last Sunday, 81-year old Derek Adams is off again on his fund-raising trek around Britain's coast. This time he is in the northwest. starting in the Wirral, where he finished the fifth leg, and aiming to cross into Scotland.

After being interviewed (again) on Radio Northampton this week, one listener, Alan Whitewright, volunteered to drive him to his starting point for this leg. He had heard Derek in previous interviews and just wanted to hear more of his amazing stories, exploits and experiences, of which there are many. Derek's wife Sue just urged him to let Alan have a chance to speak now and again!

The Derek Treks Britain Facebook page reminds us that before this latest leg, he has trekked 2,397 miles, visited 143 RNLI stations, churches of most denominations, and countless Greggs!
