Tesco Thanks

Home » News » Tesco Thanks

£237.14 was raised for Christian Aid by the volunteers from our church and three from Weston Turville Church who stood outside Tesco on 10th and 25th February.. So a big thank you to them for their time and a thank you to all who gave.
There is always a need for funds in Christian Aid's ongoing fight with poverty. The latest example is South Sudan, where famine has been declared in parts of the country. This is a country in the grip of a humanitarian catastrophe, with millions of people in desperate need of food and security.
So as Tesco would say to both collectors and givers, 'Every little helps.'

We're told it should fill us with joy and gratitude, only to encounter significant chunks that seem irrelevant, incomprehensible...
