Sunday Service(s)

Home » News » Sunday Service(s)

Tomorrow, July 19th, we have two services. There will be the usual streamed service from the manse at 10.30am. For the order of service, click here. Then in the afternoon we will have our first 3pm socially distanced service with organ music but no singing. As advertised before, this had to be booked in advance with Richard and the service will have to follow all the health and safety guidance from the Methodist Church and the government.

The sermon will be the same in the morning and afternoon. Hopefully, the morning service will be free of the technical glitches experienced last week. In the old days, electrical engineers used to advise, "if it doesn't work, kick it." Nowadays, their advice is, "if it doesn't work, reboot — switch it off and switch it on again.". May we all be 'switched on' by whichever service we experience tomorrow.

No school for the children has meant no pay for the staff — they still have to pay their...

Peter Green: Mon 28 Sep 12:00pm

This year's President of the Methodist Conference, Revd Richard Teal, was the preacher at yesterday's 10.30am service, led by our own minister, Richard Atkinson. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, it had to be by a recorded video, but he watched the streamed service and then spoke to the congregation via Richard's telephone. If you missed the service, you can see the address by...
