The Revd Loraine N Mellor, President of the Methodist Conference writes: "It is with a deep sense of sadness that once more we ask the Methodist people to pray for what has been described as another terrorists attack in Barcelona and another in Cambrils. We have seen yet again innocent people killed and injured and families torn apart by horrendous acts of violence.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with all the emergency services, the families of those who have lost loved ones and for the healing touch of God for all those injured. We pray for the peace makers and all those who are striving for a just and settled world free from terrorism."
