The Glam Vicar

Home » News » The Glam Vicar

Thought for the Day's contributor Rev. Sharon Grenham-Thompson, aka The Glam Vicar, is the author of Jail Bird, our current Good Faith Book Club choice.

We shall be discussing her book this Saturday, May 27th between 2 and 4pm. Will we agree with the Head of Prison Chaplaincy, The Venerable Michael Kavanagh, when he described it as, "A thoughtful and reflective perspective on priestly ministry in general and prison ministry in particular"?

You are welcome to come and find out over a friendly cuppa this Saturday. We meet in the church vestibule, so come through the front doors in Buckingham Street.

We all agreed, whether we were more or less familiar with Borg's ideas, we all had, indeed, seen Jesus afresh through the reading or rereading of this book! The style of Borg's writing is scholarly, logical and assessible, which made it easy...
