Christmas Volunteers

Home » News » Christmas Volunteers

For the Cards for Good Causes Charity Christmas Card Shop, I am looking for volunteers. The job entails taking money from customers, either cash, credit/debit card or cheque, and putting amounts through the till. Training will be given as required. The slots are 10.00am to 1.00pm or 1.00pm to 4.00pm, any weekday from Monday to Saturday. Each slot has two volunteers working together on the cash desk, and a duty manager covering the shop. The shop opens on Wednesday 31st Oct and closes on Thursday 13th Dec. I have lots of volunteers covering most of the slots, but still have a few to fill. If you think you can help, then please speak to John Miskin: 01296 422919.

AMC Hands
Babs Trend: Tue 21 Jan 5:00am

A few years ago, I started talking to Tom, a young homeless man, and when I asked if there was anything that I could do to help, he said that he had been given food and drink, but his hands were freezing (he said that hot drinks helped as you can wrap your hands around them until the drink goes cold).
