Peter Green: January 2020
This Saturday at 2pm in the Welcome Space at the front of the church, the Good Faith book Club will be meeting. The book for discussion is Another Christ: Re-envisioning ministry by Andrew D. Mayes.
Traditional images of Christ are as the good shepherd or the servant king. But Mayes offers other images of Jesus as builder, hermit, rebel, mystic, reveller, jester, iconoclast, revealer and enigma, liberator, traveller, and mentor, brother and trailblazer.
What will we make of it? Come and find out on Saturday. The front doors are open, as is the welcome and the kettle will be on for a pre-2pm cuppa.
