At Sunday's candlelit carol service, a heavenly host of knitted angels were available to be given away. Knitted by church members, they each had a hand-written message of comfort, encouragement, hope and love. The idea was to pass them on to people who were perhaps lonely or having a tough time. For everyone, they were a simple reminder that whilst, in the words of the carol, 'Love came down at Christmas', God's love is not just for Christmas but forever.
