AMC Jigsaw 1

Last Saturday's Book & Jigsaw Fair raised £500 towards the cost of the Church Welcome Project. Organisers Gill Marks and Lynn Bernstone had organised a wonderful display of framed, boxed and 3D jigsaws, from the entrance to the community centre through into the hall. There, a vast array of jigsaws and books were on display. Star attractions were some impressive free-standing models of buildings and other objects, largely the careful work of Allan Horne. Soup lunches, bacon butties and a cake stall all helped to make this fund-raising event, a happy social occasion as well.

The style of Borg's writing is scholarly, logical and assessible, which made it easy...
