Mayor's Prize for Janet

Aylesbury Methodist member Janet Neville, has been awarded the Mayor's Prize for her contributions to the community.
She is seen on the right of the picture cutting the 20th anniversary cake of the Monday Contact Club she has run since a few months after it started. The Contact Club is for elderly people who are lonely or disoriented or in need of social contact or are depressed. As such she arranges for a driver rota to transfer clients to and from the club, arranges lunch and games and musical or slide show entertainment and various outings. The club is partially funded by Social Services and clients are mainly referred by the Psychiatric nurse or by their local GP.
