Cards for Good Causes Multi-Charity Christmas Card Shop

£28,500 was raised for charities through the 2006 charity Christmas card shop at Aylesbury Methodist Church in Buckingham Street. This was open from 26 October to 16 December.  Opening hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. Manager Cliff Darlington said, 'I am delighted with the result, especially as we are slightly up on last year.'

The shop is staffed by close on 100 volunteers drawn from the Methodist Church and most of the various charities whose cards are on sale.  All charities receive at least 81p in every £1 from their card sales, out of which they have to pay for the production and distribution of their cards and any applicable VAT.
